Dale Werner, 76, of Golconda, passed away surrounded by family on March 14, 2023, at Deaconess Hospital in Evansville, Indiana.Wilbert Dale Werner was born to Wilbert W. and Mary Belle (Billington) Werner in Golconda on Aug. 24, 1946. Dale served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War from 1966-72 when he was honorably discharged.Dale enjoyed visiting with people and he never met a stranger. After many years of farming and over the road truck driving, he retired. He enjoyed his trucks, camping and going to tractor shows. He restored and showed tractors.Dale is survived by Sherry Carl, the love of his life for 43 years; brother, Earl (Kathy) Werner; sister, Brenda (Butch) Cossey; sister-in-law, Dorothy Werner, all of Golconda; children, Cheryl Ann (Monty) Trammel of Diamond, Illinois, Lyndall (Sherry) Werner of Pensacola, Florida, and Jimmy Werner and Stephen (Sarah) Werner, both of Golconda; stepchildren, Marlena Carl of Vienna, Allen (Linda) Carl of Fulton, Kentucky, Lisa (Jon) Stew
