Edgar Dayle Morse, 75, of Glendale, passed away on Thursday, March 30, 2023, at Mercy Health-Lourdes Hospital in the hospice wing from cancer.Dayle was the seventh of eight children born to Paul and Missouri Morse of Brownfield on Nov. 7, 1947. On July 15, 1976, Edgar Dayle Morse was united in marriage to Patty Jean (Dixon) of Simpson.Dayle is survived by sister, Paula Pike of Aurora; children, Michael Morse (Natalie) of Eldorado, Clinton Morse (Cassie) of Williston, North Dakota, and Cody Morse (Lori) of Glendale; and a plethora of nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great-grandchildren to carry on his memory.In addition to his parents, Dayle was preceded in death by sister, Elruth Haggard; brother, Bill Morse; sister, Gloria Morse; brother, Jack Morse; sister, Catherine Crowell; and sister, Gayle West.Dayle was employed by the Illinois Department of Corrections for 30 years until he retired in 2000.
